The Albanian Radio Television Symphony Orchestra announces the first edition of the “NRTA- INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTING MASTERCLASS” open and dedicated to orchestra conductor of any nationality without age limits.
The masterclass will be held in Tirana (Albania) from September 28th until October 3rd 2026 and is organized by the Zoraqi Competition Team in collaboration with the NRTA Symphony Orchestra and UART University of Arts Tirana.
The Professor will be Mo.Facundo Agudin, Music Director NRTA Symphony Orchestra.
RULES
The 6 full days intensive masterclass will be held in Tirana, according to the schedule written below.
On October 3rd there will be a final concert consisting in a public symphonic concert to be held in Ferdinand Deda Hall in Tirana (Albania) conducted by the participant conductors selected by the Teacher and the Artistic Director of the orchestra.
1. Eligibility
The masterclass is open to all the conductors, without nationality or age limitations.
2. Application and participation ot the Competition
Starting from January 15th the candidates are able to book their place and they have to send their CV and a HD photo, together with the scan copy of their passport or identity card.
The acceptance to the masterclass will be confirmed in maximum 48 hours by our office.
The acceptance is based on the priority of arrival of the applications and it will be confirmed until there are available places
The Masterclass is structured as follows:
September 28th – October 2nd 7 hours/daily masterclass alternating rehearsals with Symphony Orchestra at NRTA rehearsals room and piano sessions in the afternoon at UART University of Arts Tirana.
October 3rd
- morning session – general rehearsal of the final concert
- evening – final concert with NRTA Symphony Orchestra conducted by the participant conductors chosen by the Professor Director among the participant to the masterclass
All the active participant will have ca. 100 minutes podium (orchestra and piano)
The selected conductors will conduct the final concert with NRTA Symphony Orchestra on October 3rd 2026
All the active participants will receive an official certificate of participation signed by the Professor and the artistic director of the orchestra
All the sessions of the masterclass (and the concert) will be professionally video-recorded by a NRTA cameraman, a front camera video will be provided to all the participants (included in the participation fee amount)
The final concert will be filmed by the NRTA.
The passive participants will be allowed to attend all the sessions of the masterclass
3. Repertoire
The repertoire of the masterclass (and the final concert) will be :
- Ludwig van Beethoven - Symphony n.7
- Ludwig van Beethoven – Violin concerto in D major
- Petr Ilic Tchaikowski – Overture Fantasy Romeo and Juliet
- Felix Mendelssohn – Hebrides Overture
- Pablo Ortiz – Mores Redux (Albanian Premiere)
4. Registration

5. Participation fee
The active participants after receiving the confirmation will be required to pay the participation fee that consists in € 1.200,00 to be paid according to this schedule:
- € 500,00 at the moment of the application, after receiving the confirmation by our office
- € 700,00 within May 15th 2026
Special offer EARLY BIRD:
The first 5 participant who will confirm their attendance of the masterclass and pay the entire participation fee within February 28th 2026 will benefit of a special discount (€ 1.000,00 participation fee early bird).
Passive participant will be allowed to attend all the sessions and the final concert and their participation fee is € 200,00 to be paid within May 15th 2026.

6. Scholarships for Albanian citizen/students UART
The University of arts Tirana offers two free places for active participants to the masterclass to n.2 selected conductors of Albanian citizenship. Whenever possible, the 2 full scholarships are to be offered to Students at UART University of Arts Tirana.
The conductors will be selected by the Professor, during an ad hoc audition to be held in UART in a date to be defined. The audition will be held at the UART, and accompanied by pianist/s of UART, in the presence of Mo. Agudin and Mr Llozi.
The students who would like to apply to this possibility have to send their CV photos and ID document copy to our office. within April 1st 2026
7. Transfer and accommodation
Transfers and accommodation are up to the participants;
Our logistic office will help the participants to find the accommodation, if any suggestion is required.
Moreover we will be also able to help the participants also with official invitation letters, when it’s needed in order to get the visa.
8. Media rights
The candidates by submitting their application will hand over all rights of the TV and radio recordings to the Promoter, this includes all pictures taken on and off stage.
The candidates by submitting their application will also give their permission and approval to the Promoter to use the candidates’ names and pictures in press releases.
9. Final rules
The participation to the competition implies the full acceptance of the present rules.
The organization reserves the right to modify the development of the project in the event of force majeure. , in that case the organization will give prompt notification of any modification that may occur.
For any legal action the English text of the announcement must be considered.
